So in sticking to my goals for the year I’m trying to get better at being consistent with posting on the blog. So, I’ve decided to do a monthly content report. A lot of bloggers do income reports, but since I’m not bank rolling via the blog, focusing on the content is the best step in that direction. I don’t know how long I’ll do this for, but it will make me more accountable to myself if I’m forced to share with you.
For April I had 10 posts, below my goal of 3 per week, but I focused on sharing things I was truly interested in. My top post of the month was my Caribbean Blogger Spotlight with Kerry-Ann. Anytime I feature bloggers I get good traffic. It’s also the post that had the lowest bounce rate and highest time spent on the page. I’d like to work my way up to featuring one blogger a week. For May, I’ll have a goal of two Caribbean Blogger Spotlight features.
Other original posts was of the RISE Empowerment event and my Denim & Plaid Style post. Sharing some of my favorite reads via Style & Vibes Link Lovin‘ is something I started awhile ago and wanted to bring back so that I can share links to quick stories that fit the Caribbean-American demographic, but I don’t want to do a full post about.
Ever green post like Top 10 Reggae Love Songs , Top 5 Caribbean Youtubers and Top 5 Caribbean Style Bloggers are still top posts. My list post do really well so maybe I’ll try to do more.
Goals for May:
More Original Content for the 15 Posts
Increase Monthly Views by 25%
Social Content: 2 Instagram post per day and daily interaction on Facebook (develop specific goals for social)

This is an awesome idea Mikelah and congratulations are in order too! You set goals for yourself and while you didn’t do all you wanted your efforts were rewarded big time!
Looking forward to more posts!
