Met with boos upon announcement as the new Miss Jamaica Universe 2008, April Jackson remained humbled as dissatisfied patrons cheered for runner up contestant Doneika Plowright. R&B diva Keshia Cole graced the stage for a performance singing hits like “Love”, “I Changed My Mind” and “Just Like You”.

Miss Mikelah’s say: I really don’t know why she was met with boo, she seem like a good candidate. I think it was petty of the patrons to boo, she’s gonna represent Jamaica anywhere she go, so they should be proud of her regardless.
