With a background in media and event production, Althea Blackford is the founder of Boston Caribbean Fashion Week. She has worked with many emerging and established designers over her two decade fashion career. With a cultural background from Barbados and Jamaica, Althea wanted to create an event that celebrates her Caribbean heritage and culture while providing a platform for designers to showcase their collection and connect with other fashion professionals. She created the Boston Caribbean Fashion Week in August 2013.
