From the streets to the studio to your favorite fitness class, authentic Jamaican Dancehall moves are infectiously duplicated but this vibe can never be duplicated! These ladies capture the essence of Dancehall dances, style, riddims in a creative project called the Hot Gyal Summer Dance Project. Showcasing the talents of some of Jamaica’s most successful Studio and Street Female Dancers. Featuring choreography and movement direction by Shamara ‘Inspire’ Spencer, Amanyea Stines, Kimiko Versatile, Shae-J Osbourne, Ashley ‘Soleil’ Bromfield and Catherine ‘CatKingCole’ Reid. Utilizing dancehall riddims and songs from the 90’s and early 2000’s with a modern twist, paying homage to movements and sounds of the past and present. The Project incorporates structured choreography as well as unstructured movement and dancehall vibes, with the intention of communicating that Jamaican Dancers are multifaceted.
