With extremely limited travel and in-person concerts, the music industry was forced to pivot into all-virtual everything. DJs, musicians, and performers reset their vision and were still able to keep connected with their fan base through virtual performances. For many, including myself, these events kept spirits up and made us realize how valuable music is to society. Supporting the entertainment industry goes beyond just the artist, these events also kept the industry works like promoters, event specialist and band members afloat in a difficult time.
Across the globe we saw virtual events multiply in an effort to keep the vibes going. Virtual award shows, remote performances, DJ sessions and battles entertained the masses with single performances that could fill an arena. Caribbean entertainment was no different, we heard Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Kompa and more from some of our favorite artists and personalities, here are a few events we enjoyed in 2020.
