Walshy Fire’s “Abeng” A Caribbean x African Musical Affirmation for Good Vibes Only

DJ and producer Walshy Fire releases a solo album “Abeng” a mix of Caribbean and African artist and sounds from each regions. The 11-track album released on Mad Decent Records features some of the hottest Caribbean and African artists like Runtown, Wiz Kid, Kranium, Alkaline, Machel Montano, Buju Garlin, Stonebwoy, Masicka just to name a few.

Walshy Fire recently has an album release event in NYC where he shared with the listeners the concept of the album and the reason it’s so important. Meant to have a feel-good impact, The album is filled musical affirmations rooted in positivity, no slackness just feel good music that “vibrates at a higher frequency.”  Just looking at the song titles you can tell issa vibe, “Amazing”, “No Negative Vibe”, “Xcellent.”

I created this album specifically for Caribbean and African people across the world. Everywhere I go people of color are experiencing similar issues. Everyone else, please, please enjoy it, but I made it specifically for those two groups of people.”
