I took new photos for the blog! Not style shot for my personal style posts but more for my “About Me” and general photos that I can use for branding. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while, but kept putting off. I teamed up with my blogger bae Kerry-Anne, from Carry on Friends, to do a double shoot.
Jacket (actually a dress): Rachel Roy | Tee: Faded Glory | Jeans: Old Navy | Shoes: Ivanka Trump
I learned a few things myself during the shoot:
1.) I’m short, like really short and some angles make me look even shorter. There were some shots where I look like I had no neck!
2.) I’m definitely not comfortable in front of the camera…yet! Designer Tisha Innis of Scotty Beama served as our photographer. She’s had a lot of experience as a designer behind the scenes for major brands as well as shooting for her own clothing line.
3.) Modeling is not as easy as it looks! Between sucking in my gut, shoulders back chin up and not having my hair in my face, I was exhausted and felt a little crazy posing! But when I saw the photos I was so happy with the results. I really want to practice more and Tisha gave me some great tips to do so.
Here are some out takes from the day.
