The Grammy Awards was a night filled with great collaborations! I really enjoyed the mix of genres, it recreated the way you heard the songs to make you fall in love with them all over again. The best part was that performers and winners had an admiration and respect for each other, and that’s what the Grammy’s are about. Here are my top 5 favorite Grammy performances.
1.) Rihanna featuring performing “Stay” with Mikky Ekko
Rihanna is known for her uptempo fun performances, but performing a ballad (which seems to be inspired by her whirlwind romance with Chris Brown) was a great move for her. Especially since critics are always challenging her vocal abilities. She did me proud.

2.) Bob Marley Tribute with Bruno Mars, Sting, Rihanna, Ziggy & Damian Marley
Although I would have loved a longer tribute (we all know Bob’s extensive catalog) I love how they drew from reggae inspired music from Bruno & Sting then dived into “Could You Be Loved”. I was so proud so see the entire room up on their feet rocking to reggae music; it shows the true power of music.
3.) Justin Timberlake & Jay-Z – “Suit & Tie”
Anyone who knows me, know my absolute love for Justin Timberlake! Handsome and talented he’s an artist about making great quality music so I’m elated that he’s coming out with a new album.
4.) Alicia Keys & Maroon 5 “Girl on Fire”
Alicia Keys is on fire! She’s been all over the place lately performing “Girl on Fire” so it was a nice surprise when she was joined by Maroon 5 to do the single…Amazing touch.
5.) Miguel & Wiz Khalifa – “Adorn”
Miguel’s voice has been in heavy rotation, I’ve had his first album “All I Want Is You” and his second “Kaleidoscope Dreams” on repeat for the last 2 months. I loved that he interacted with the crowd and his vocals were great. A laid back Wiz is always a good touch.
