I first spotted Keyshia Ka’oir (also known as Keyshia Dior) in the Drake & Timbaland video “Say Something”, I had no idea who she was but I kept seeing her on blogs at events and aside from being a beautiful girl, she always had this unmistakable bright lip and mohawk. The Jamaican beauty used her fame and creative brand to launch Ka’oir Costmetics, a cosmetic line creating the bight colored lipstick she’s known for as well as other beauty products such as lip gloss, eye shadows and nail lacquers. Her mini three part documentary called Behind the Brand which is in inside look at how she built the brand from the ground up.
As a young Caribbean-American, I’m proud and inspired that she created a great brand and continues to market it to its full potential. (Below is Part 3 of the series, check out Part 1 & Part 2)
