Anya Ayoung-Chee presented her Spring/Summer 2013 collection entitled Carnival of Colour with accessories by jewelry designer Melody Eshani and shoes by Chinese Laundry kicking off New York Fashion Week. The Trinidadian designer and Season 9 winner of Project Runway continues to impress with each collection! Her pieces exude the essence of the Caribbean through vibrant flowing dresses with distinct eye catching patterns. The sultry trend of “high/low” hemlines, deep “v” cuts and high splits were consistent throughout the collection.
What I love about Anya’s pieces is that they are beautiful and fuss-free styles that are wearable from the runway to islands.
The patterned shift dress, structured single button blazer and hot pink jump suit are great statement pieces.
