Dancehall artiste Mavado returns to New York City for the first time in almost two years, his work visa for the U.S. was revoked along with a slew of other Dancehall entertainers in 2009. The Gully God’s first stop was Hot 97 to interview with Bobby Konders and Jabba for their weekly Sunday night show “On The Reggae Tip”. Although Mavado has not traveled to the U.S. his music has still continued to rock the airwaves consistently with songs like “House Top” “All Dem A Talk: “Star Boy” and others. He has continued to travel to other parts of the world maintaining a connection with his fans. In positive spirits, Mavado talks about getting his visa back, Hip-Hop collaborations, new music and you know a concert is in the works.
