City of God was an award winning independent film directed by Fernando Meirelles and Katia Lund about Buscape (Portuguese for Rocket), a young photographer living in the slums of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Rocket did not partake in the violence or drug trade like his peers, but documented it through phography. Originally written by Paulo Lins (novel) and the screenplay written by Bráulio Mantovani
The producer is back with: CITY OF MEN. Teenagers Acerola (Douglas Silva) and Laranjinha (Darlan Cunha) have become close as brothers. With their eighteenth birthdays fast approaching, Laranjinha sets out to find the father he never met, while Acerola struggles to raise his own young son. But when they suddenly find themselves on opposite sides of a gang war, the lifelong friends are forced to confront a shocking secret from their shared past.
